Last day of School --Bonnes vacances!

We had a wonderful last day of school.  There was a farewell assembly that included goodbyes to some staff and grade eight students.  There was also a slideshow for the school and a bit of dancing.  When we returned to class we enjoyed snack time with an extra snack of homemade cookies from a fellow student.  Then we headed outside for an extended recess.  We returned to the class to watch a slideshow DVD of our class.  A copy of the DVD is in your child's report card envelope.  We ended on the song, "Happy!" Although there were some tears too.   For those who were done watching we played a game of silent ball with our soft globe.

It was quite a year!  We had a busy and large kindergarten class and I was so grateful for all the support I received from you.  Our field trips were a great success because I had wonderful parental support.  The special days including our special events were also successful because you were a part of them. MERCI!

I would also like to thank you all for the generous gifts I received today.  I was blown away by the cards your children wrote and the beautiful gifts.  I will be treating myself this summer thanks to you all!

I hope that you all have a fun and relaxing summer and I look forward to seeing most of your kids in the hallways in September.

MERCI!

Happy Father's Day and Happy Aboriginal Day!

We had a wonderful turn out!  Thank you for the great participation and the spirit of fun everyone brought to the gym today for our Dad's Day celebration.  Your presence was much appreciated by the kids and by me.  I want to wish all the dads a Happy Father's Day and to our First Nations brothers and sisters Happy Aboriginal Day on February 21st! It is great to belong to this community and this school.  I hope you all have a great weekend.
