Thank you to the moms who joined us on the walk to McQuarries. It was a wonderful visit with John and Darcy. John shared with us part of his own story about two soldiers. His uncle and his wife's uncle both fought in opposing forces in the Second World War. Had they lived to see today they would be sharing in a meal around the same table. They also shared some war memorabilia from Saskatoon and Dakota Whitecap First Nation. It was a great learning experience.We also have been reading books to help us learn and remember:

We have been enjoying our presentations on favourite places in Canada and learning more about where we live. Our big book of our Hymne National-- O Canada! is almost complete and the student will begin illustrating their own booklets of the anthem.
