June newsletter --juin

Le 29 mai 2015

Joyeux juin!   We are here at the end of the year and our last month of school!  Thank you so much to our volunteers for our last field trips, ones coming up and those we have been on throughout the year.  We could not have done it without you!

We are going to be studying dinosaurs, things to do with summer and celebrating dads this month.  We will also be having some special events.  Thursday June 4th we will be performing in the school showcase musical “On Top of the World” at 4:30pm at Broadway Theater.  Please bring your child to our classroom by 4:15pm.

On Friday June 5th we will be walking to the Children’s Festival to see “The Little Prince.”  If you are able to volunteer and walk with us please let me know as soon as possible.  We won tickets for this event and it is exciting to be able to take it in.  We will be leaving the school shortly after attendance and returning before dismissal.  Students will need to be dressed for the weather wearing a hat, sunscreen and good walking shoes.

While older students will be swimming, Friday June 19th we will have Dads' day.  This will be from 8:50am -10:30 am in the gym.  Again if a parent is unable to attend please have someone come to participate with your child.   This will be an active time which will involve running and lots of movement; please dress for being active.

Please stay tuned for another trip to see the dinosaur models at the University of Saskatchewan.

Wednesday June 24th we will be walking to River Landing Spray Park.  If you can going us on the walk please let me know!

I hope everyone is enjoying the home reading books.  Click the home reading link on the blog from March 12th to get to the links for the books.

The last day for library books are June 4th. They will need to be returned June 8th.  MERCI!

Mme Wallace
