October newsletter

Chers parents,

I hope you had a good weekend and enjoyed the sunshine.  Thank you to the parents who joined us for our walk to the pow-wow.  We greatly enjoyed the experience.  As we go into October we are working on new themes and new vocabulary.  We will be doing colour days: les jours de couleurs.  On colour days I ask that students dress in the chosen colour.  They can also bring something that is the chosen colour for gluing on a poster representing that colour.  (Please do not buy new things or clothing for these colour days).  On your child’s special day we will be filling out a fall favourite sheet that they can present and the children can ask questions. We will be walking to Pooh Corner at Frances Morrison Library soon.  Please keep the calendar where you can easily refer to these dates. On Halloween we will be having a parade—un défilé throughout the school.  Please no gory costumes or weapons.

*Did you know that the word costume in French means a suit?  For play/ dress-up like a Halloween costume we say un déguisement
We are also starting our MIMI poster, (Modèle Inductive de mots and images).
See previous post below.
